The City hall of Angra do Heroismo hosted last week a press conference to announce the ECA Canoe Ocean Racing European Championships 2024 taking part in April from 12-14.

Vitor Félix, president of the Portuguese Canoe Federation, and Fabio Meneses, President of the Regional Canoe Association were among those presenting the event to the local press.

More than 10 countries and 300+ participants are expected to compete in the Atlantic sea between 12 and 14 of April 2024. Stage 2 of the Ocean Racing Portuguese National Championships as well as regional Championships of Azores will take place at the same time as the main event.

The event will have the sponsorship of Angra do Heroismo and Praia da Vitória Cities, and they will receive start and finish of the main event.
